“As a pro fisherman with a lifetime of experience at sea, I’ve used just about every type and brand of diesel engine going.
My new Yanmar is the best that I have ever used by far, no matter from what angle I look at it!

The Yanmar 6LYA-STP in “Two Bays” easily gets the 5 tonne hull up and planning. It effortlessly reaches 3300rpm for a top speed of 24 knots.

I did my research with other engine brands, compared the specifications and spoke to many boat owners before I built “Two Bays” and so far everything I had heard about the purpose built Yanmar has proved to be true.

When it comes to fuel economy, there is absolutely nothing on the market that even comes close in my opinion. When I am fishing, I spend 7-8 hours at sea each day so the fuel economy is a obviously a key factor behind my engine choice.

But likewise, the low noise and easy servicing without the need to have special tools, combined to validate my decision to go with Yanmar.
All up I am a very happy. Yanmar has delivered for me on all counts!"
