"Seasoned Boater Repowers with Yanmar"

”When my 23 year old Cairns Custom Craft needed an engine
transplant I listened to what my boating mates had to say and
also went to see what was available at the boat shows. The
name Yanmar kept coming up, mainly for their incredible fuel
economy.

I re-powered with Yanmar 6LPA-DTZP with MerCruiser Bravo
Two-X leg and couldn’t be happier. Now I have an extra 30hp
at the prop and about the same weight.

But my fuel consumption has plummeted. The regular offshore
fishing trip I used to make used to chew up 150 litres of fuel.
Now I use only 80 litres and I can do the 90 NM trip quicker
too.

Apart from the reliability and reduced engine noise, the

faster top end speed and the enormous fuel savings.
