Work engine performance figures have never looked better
You can say good-bye to a lot of things when Yanmar's new look LAK diesels are installed in your boat. Cheerio to cramped spaces - a low-low, flat-top design of the V-blocks, slim lines and minimizing exterior piping create space for more convenience, more useful extras.

And farewell to fumes - ultra-high pressure injection and unique swirl-chamber combustion give cleaner burns than even. There's also a boost compensator to reduce black smoke when accelerating, especially when manoeuvring in port.

Puts new life into any hull
The LAK is designed to give more pure power. The ultimate flow pattern of gas-air is achieved with 4 valves per cylinder and combined with the precise timing of the high pressure pump, combustion efficiency reaches a new level. The result is more power at the prop and a major boost to boat performance.

Cost-cutting maintenance feature
Removing piston can be done through large service windows in the block. The wear of parts has been kept to a minimum through automatic temperature regulating and constant high temperature cooling. With parts designed from a mixture of experience and computer analysis their reliability become excellent.

Quieter and stronger parts design
Smooth flowing helical gear lower transmission noises and the gear train located on the flywheel end promotes drive efficiency. Sounds created in the block and oil pan are also suppressed by strategic placement of reinforcing ribs. Such measures also give a more stable engine, complemented by other sophisticated details as pistons with built-in cooling channels and fuel valves with thermal insulation.
