The 6KYM-ETE marks an evolutionary leap in operational ease based on
years of accumulated technologies. The result is a light and compact
turbo diesel with extra output and superb all-round performance.
This high power diesel engine with its efficient twin-turbo system
answers a wide range of main propulsion needs in fishing boats,
ferries, etc.
Big performance from twin
turbo-charger
24-valve structure, direct injection, twin-turbo, high-pressure
injection inline pump ... the cream of Yanmar's sophisticated diesel
engine technologies has given birth to this high output engine. The
engine features a long stroke of 165mm, a large displacement of
13,733cc and plenty of extra power in reserve.
Good exhaust colour in all speed
ranges
The engine displays excellent performance in all speed ranges from
low and medium to high, using high-pressure injection and the
twin-turbo system. The exhaust colour under heavy load in the medium
speed range is especially good. The boost compensator, a standard
fitting, reduces black smoke emission during acceleration. The high
performance twin-turbocharger and intercooler packs more charge in
on each intake stroke.
Light, compact and low-line for a
flexible hull
. Low and flat-topped, the engine leaves plenty of space to spare
for shaping your ideal hull
. The low lines facilitate flat decks and a low centre of gravity
for ferry applications, freeing up broad hull design possibilities.
High reliability, durability and
operational comfort
The generously reinforced engine block retains its rigidity even at
high output levels. Vibrations and noise are reduced to secure a
comfortable operating environment.
Easy maintenance and inspection
Side covers allow for easy routine checks and servicing of the
crankcase. Cartridge type LO and FO filters. |
